Diverse Staffing is hiring a Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator Assistant for a hands-on manufacturing job. This role is best for candidates who are comfortable with physical production work, standing for the full shift, and working in a non-climate-controlled environment with heat, noise, dust, and strong odors.

Job Duties

• Assist with the operation of plastic extrusion machinery

• Monitor production lines to help maintain quality standards

• Remove scrap material and keep the work area clean

• Perform basic quality checks and report defects or issues

• Follow safety guidelines and production procedures

• Help team members and supervisors meet daily production goals

Must-Have Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for the full shift

• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment

• Able to work around heat, noise, dust, and strong odors

• Able to read basic work instructions and safety procedures in English

• Must be punctual, reliable, and ready to work each scheduled shift

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Sit-down forklift experience

• Previous manufacturing experience

• Previous plastic extrusion experience

• Experience in physically demanding work such as construction, landscaping, warehouse, or general labor

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing production role in a plastic extrusion facility. The work area is not climate-controlled and may be hot, noisy, dusty, and have strong odors. The job requires standing for the full shift, bending, repetitive movement, lifting up to 50 lbs, removing scrap, and staying focused on production quality and safety.
