Job Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, tire rotations, and safety inspections

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components

• Repair or replace brakes, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel systems, and exhaust systems

• Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and overhaul heavy-duty engines and components

• Complete repair orders, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation

• Ensure equipment complies with DOT safety and regulatory requirements

Must-Have Requirements

• Previous diesel mechanic experience

• Ability to use diagnostic software, hand tools, and power tools

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces throughout the shift

• Ability to read work orders, maintenance manuals, and repair documentation

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Class A diesel mechanic experience

• Experience with heavy-duty truck engine overhauls

• Experience with DOT inspections and compliance

• Technical training or diesel mechanic certification

Work Environment

• Onsite maintenance shop and warehouse environment

• Exposure to noise, grease, oils, and diesel equipment

• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and walking

• Work around running equipment and heavy machinery

• Fast-paced repair environment with productivity expectations

• Use of required PPE and safety equipment
