Job Position: Receiving/Put away Driver

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr.

Shift: 1st, 7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday-Friday

Must have Reach truck experience is 90% of the job – Other forklift lifts experience is great but not needed like Cherry Picker, Clamp, Sit down, and EPJ

Key Duties and Responsibilities
– Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move goods from storage to loading areas, and transport materials within a facility.
– Safely stack and unstack items on pallets and shelves and load/unload vehicles and trailers.
– Conduct inventory cycle counts, accurately place products in storage locations, and monitor stock levels.
– Perform routine checks on the forklift for faults or damage and complete scheduled maintenance like changing oil and filters.
– Adhere to all safety guidelines, maintain a safe and organized work area, and ensure forklift driving areas are free from obstructions.
– Keep records of all loaded, unloaded, or transferred goods and complete necessary paperwork.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Operating Skills: Proficiency in operating reach forklifts and RF scanners.
Physical Abilities: Good physical health, the ability to stand for long periods, and the capacity to occasionally lift heavy objects.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail for accurate product placement, inventory, and safety.
Communication: Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines; strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Work Environment Forklift operators work in busy manufacturing paper factory and warehouse environments, which may expose them to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.

The role may require work outdoors exposed to various weather conditions and involve noise levels that necessitate the use of hearing protection.
Some positions may require adherence to strict production schedules and working with sophisticated packing machines.
