Diverse Staffing is seeking an experienced Acme-Gridley Screw Machine Machinist for a growing manufacturing operation in Jackson, MI.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and operate Acme-Gridley screw machines for production runs

• Install, adjust, and replace cams, gears, tooling, and machine components

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed

• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met

• Troubleshoot machine issues and assist with basic maintenance

• Read blueprints and production specifications

• Follow safety, quality, and production requirements

Must-Have Requirements

• Previous Acme-Gridley Screw Machine experience

• Ability to perform machine setups and tooling adjustments

• Blueprint reading skills

• Strong math and measurement skills

• Mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting experience

• Stable work history

• Updated resume

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift

• Ability to work independently and maintain production standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-spindle screw machine experience

• Manufacturing or machine shop experience

• Precision machining experience

• Quality inspection experience

• Preventative maintenance experience

Work Environment

• Manufacturing machine shop environment

• Exposure to moving machinery and production equipment

• Moderate to high noise levels

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

• Exposure to machine oils, metal shavings, and manufacturing materials

• PPE required in designated work areas

• Fast-paced production environment with quality expectations
