Job Position: Quality Control Manager

Location: Newnan, GA 30265

Pay Rate: $100,000-$150,000

Description: The Quality Control Manager/Supervisor will lead all quality-assurance and quality-control activities for gear-manufacturing production lines. This role requires deep familiarity with automotive quality systems, precision gear inspection, and Tier-2 customer requirements. the ideal candidate can independently manage QC operations, inspectors, documentation, PPAP submissions, and customer quality communication.

1) Quality Control Leadership
* Oversee all QC Functions: incoming, in-process, and final inspection
* Lead and train inspectors on gear-specific inspection techniques
* Establish inspection standards aligned with automotive quality requirements
2) Gear Measurement & Precision Inspection
* Perform and supervise dimensional/gear-tooth inspection
3) Automotive Quality Systems (IATF 16949)
* Maintain Control Plans, PFMEA, work instructions, and standardized check sheets
* Support Internal audits and maintain readiness for customer audits (Mando, JTEKT, AAM, etc)
* Drive compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 frameworks
4) APQP & PPAP Management
* Lead preparation and submission of PPAP Documentation
* Manage capability studies, MSA, gauge R&R, and process validation reports
* Collaborate with engineering on new-program APQP activities and sample builds
5) Customer Quality Interface
* Act as the primary contact for customer complaints, quality reporting, and corrective actions
* Manage 8D, root-cause analysis, 5-Why, and containment activity
* Maintain transparent communication and rapid response to customer issues
6) Continuous Improvement and Process Stability
* Monitor scrap/rework trends and initiate improvement projects
* Lead investigations on gear-specific failures (runout, tooth profile deviation, hardness variation, etc.)
* Collaborate with production and engineering to ensure machining process capability.

Qualifications
* 3-7 years of quality experience in Tier-1, Tier-2 automotive manufacturing environment
* Experience leading teams in machining/gear environments preferred
* Bilingual English/Chinese a plus but not required
