Forklift Operator Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities include:
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
Load, unload, stage, and transfer materials throughout the facility
Supply production lines with raw materials
Remove and transport finished products
Load and unload trucks in a safe and timely manner
Verify material quantities and inventory accuracy
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies
Maintain clean, organized warehouse and production areas
Complete daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues
Follow OSHA regulations and company safety standards
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation
Complete required paperwork and system transactions accurately
Forklift Operator Requirements
Previous forklift operating experience required
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment preferred
Experience with sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, or similar equipment preferred
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems is a plus
Ability to lift, bend, reach, and perform physical job duties throughout the shift
Ability to work in confined spaces and navigate narrow aisles
Strong attention to safety and accuracy
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching
Extended periods of sitting, standing, and operating equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
