Responsibilities for this assignment:
Initiate contact/notify fact witnesses concerning travel arrangements, appearance date/time, and determine any special circumstances or needs of the fact witness.
Receive visitors, field phone calls, questions, and other inquiries from fact witnesses seeking information pertaining to court, pre-trial conferences, grand jury appearances and expense reimbursement.
Meet with fact witnesses upon arrival at a designated hearing or pre-trial conference, offer and perform courtroom orientation, accompany witnesses to court, ensure a safe waiting area is available, and collect necessary documentation and signatures for fact witness reimbursement documents.
Complete and submit proper documentation for special authorizations and obtain prior approval before proceeding with travel arrangements.
Prepare and submit documentation for fact witness reimbursement
Obtain information, confer, and coordinate with the Court, Probation, Pretrial, U.S. Marshals Service, investigative agencies, and other counterparts, when necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience performing word processing and data entry/retrieval
Experience establishing case/project files
Experience preparing and formatting reports
Experience schedule appointments and arranging travel
Experience in a legal environment a plus
US Citizen who has lived in the U.S. three out of the last five years
Ability to pass an in-depth criminal background check and credit check (no collections or recent bankruptcies).
Ability to pass a drug screen
Ability to interact professionally with attorneys, government personnel, witnesses, investigators, analysts, auditors, law enforcement personnel, and external contacts.
Ability to work on sensitive matters involving individuals, organizations, corporations, or issues requiring discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
Ability to successfully complete required federal background investigation requirements and obtain/maintain a PIV card or other required federal credentials.
Ability to work onsite in Pensacola, FL

What You’ll Do
