Regional Sales Director




Job Description :

This opportunity offers a competitive salary up to $125,000 per year, dependent on your personal documented experience, plus an un-capped commission. The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for managing regional Business Development Managers, as well as developing business with prospective strategic customers and penetration and retention of existing customers. Core activities include managing others, national territory management, lead identification and qualification, cold calling, setting appointments, creating, and developing proposals and pricing models, making presentations, documenting customer agreements (e.g., contract, service agreement), closing sales and partnering with staffing team(s) to ensure effective delivery against client SLAs.

  • Manages Business Development Managers in multiple regions to achieve measurable sales growth in each market from new business and existing business.

  • Oversight of assigned area for multiple branches and staffing team fulfillment against client requirements.

  • Drives Client Services (sales) efforts for BDMs in your market.

  • Grows existing market through Client Services efforts, identifies onsite partnership opportunities, current client expansion, and retention.

  • Ensures profitability and growth of branches within your area.

  • Assists in the development, coaching and training of new BDM hires. Partners with Client Services Managing Director to identify areas of opportunity for BDMs in your area.

  • Creates and implements regional sales plans.

  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends, and results.

  • Works with managers to create and maintain a business plan utilizing CRM, with targeted new accounts and completely mapped territory and calendar. Develops strategy for penetrating/layering within accounts.

  • Develops business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new and inactive clients.

  • Generates leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and via telephone and other electronic media such as social networking tools and techniques.

  • Remains current with the complete range of Diverse Staffing service offerings and capabilities to effectively cross-sell multiple service lines.

  • Remains current with competitive trends, staffing/human resource issues and market conditions and their effect on business.

  • Generates viable requisitions from new and inactive accounts. Track and move opportunities through the sales funnel.

  • Meets all minimum requirements for weekly appointment activity and revenue growth.

  • Completes timely entry of all required sales documentation into Diverse CRM and other automated systems. Maintain consistency and integrity of data.

  • Coordinates with recruiting teams to ensure delivery to client’s requisitions. Participate in sales and training seminars geared toward recruiting teams.

  • Maintains active participation and membership in networking organizations.

  • Works with Regional Area Managers to establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

  • Establishes and adjusts pricing by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.

  • Maintains regional sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

  • Maintains regional sales staff KPI’s by training, managing, counseling and disciplining employees, as well as planning, monitoring, and appraising results.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Director of Staffing Services Candidates must meet the following minimum job requirements to be deemed qualified for the position:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in staffing, manufacturing, or logistics industries in a management role.

  • A proven track record (with measurable results) of growing multiple branches/area you directly oversaw in a past similar role.

  • Five or more years’ experience in a consultative, client facing management role (i.e., sales, customer service, account management, consulting, service industry, etc. Ability to travel regularly to markets within your assigned territory for in-person coaching, training, and development of your client services managers.

  • Experience with managing others

  • Proven sales and negotiation skills

  • Proven sales planning skills

  • Experience with developing departmental budgets

  • Proven ability to obtain, understand, and leverage market intelligence in the design of strategies to target, establish new client relationships and strengthen existing relationships

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact in a respectful manner with a diverse population of colleagues, clients, and job applicants; leveraging active listening skills and paying attention to cues from reading their audience

  • Proven communication skills: able to convey one’s message in a clear, concise, and professional manner, considering one’s audience, in all forms of media (i.e., voicemail, phone, email, face-to-face) and manages conflicts and disagreements constructively.

  • Proficient multi-tasking capabilities; able to prioritize multiple client job requisitions, software and business processes while remaining compliant with policies and delivering against deadlines.

  • Proven problem-solving skills; able to identify important aspects of a problem, gather appropriate information, determine potential causes, and specify alternative solutions

  • Able to travel and maintain a flexible work schedule

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
