Job Position: Heat Treat Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN  46218 

Pay Rate: $70K – $100K depending on experience 

Shift: 1^st, Monday to Friday

Diverse Staffing has partnered with a well-established local metal plating company near downtown Indy that has a reputation for outstanding quality and extraordinary customer service. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heat Treat Technician to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and precision of heat treatment processes, contributing to the production of high-performance materials. If you have a strong understanding of heat treatment principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with cutting-edge equipment, we would love to hear from you.  This is a direct hire position with a salary dependent on experience. 

Your Day-to-Day Tasks will be:

Rack steel parts before the heat-treating process

Load and operate various furnaces and ovens

Hardness test steel parts

Sandblast steel parts as needed

Assist with customer requests as needed. This is a small company, and there will be moments when you will be customer-facing.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

HS Diploma or equivalent

Can lift up to 50 pounds

Trainable – the ideal candidate will be willing to learn new skills

Ability to read and interpret customer specifications

Prior experience in the manufacturing industry – preferably heat treating

Positive professional attitude – reliable (at work every day)

Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.

Ability to work with a tight-knit team of employees

Heavy self-starter and go-getter mindset

Strong professional and customer service skills
